Adrift, we sail to nowhere. The poor, the sick, the lost and the hopeless. A sea of dark light kisses our hull, pulling us down every mile, as we hear the same old song of fire and blood.
One day you’ll be looking up shouting “help me” and all you’ll get for an answer is a voice whispering in the wind “no”.
How can we be both wise and ignorant, great and ruined, triumphant and despairing?
If you have to believe, believe in life.
This isn’t chaos, its complexity. This isn’t real, all these snakes and crosses. Protectors of liars and thieves, messengers of the dead. Suffering is a choice and you can refuse it.
Oh ruined cities, weep for our souls… I will never believe.
Not in this life.
